The 1585 Show stars 2 former UCLA Bruin football teammates Anthony “AC” Cobbs and Jim “Mac” McElroy. The name of the show is the combination of the jersey numbers of AC(#15) and Mac (#85). The show has been in the works since their playing days at UCLA. The two talked about doing a radio show one day and then the pandemic gave them the time and space to create a social media podcast instead. Both AC & Jim are husbands, fathers, educators, coaches and sports fanatics with something to say! The 1585 Show is full of insight and perspective about sports and life from a realistic point of view.

#15 - AC

#15 is Anthony Cobbs, a co-host of The 1585 Show. He is also the host of AC Sports LIVE. Anthony got his start in the industry as an intern at KTTV FOX 11 where years later he would be a highlight editor for Fox Sports 1. Prior to his television career, Cobbs was a professional football player in the NFL (Saints, Cardinals), AFL (San Jose Sabercats), and NFL Europe League (Frankfurt Galaxy). He played his college ball at UCLA. After retiring from football, he went back to his first love, TV as a highlight editor with Fox Sports 1. He also is the owner operator of AC Media Productions. Currently he is a Pathway Coordinator with local community colleges. Anthony has used his passion for sports, production and education to create this weekly sports broadcast AC Sports LIVE…He believes friendly sports talk is therapeutic.

#85 - MAC

#85 is Jim McElroy IV, a co-host of The 1585 Show. Jimi Mc is also the host of The Sucker Punch Podcast focusing on current events, society, family and sports. Jimi Mc is a High School Teacher in Los Angeles, CA with a degree in History from UCLA and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Phoenix. He also serves as a Athletics Coach and Restorative Justice Counselor. Jimi Mc is a former College and Professional Football player. He still holds the record at UCLA for most yards per catch during his time at UCLA as a All-Conference Wide Receiver. He is a 47-year old father of two and has been married for twenty years. His podcasting career began in 2020.
